A new era. A new Roadshow.

Behind the first season of Norton Rides.

There's something particularly exciting about being involved in a project from the very beginning.

Back in January, Woodcote Events submitted an RFP to create and deliver a completely new roadshow experience for Norton Motorcycles.

By early February, we'd found out we'd won it. And so began Norton Rides 2026.

This wasn't the launch of just another motorcycle roadshow. Norton was entering an important new chapter, with new motorcycles, a developing dealer network and a renewed brand identity.

For many customers, Norton Rides would provide their first opportunity to experience that new era for themselves.

And, through demonstrating our track record, knowledge and experience, we’d been chosen to help make it happen.

Getting under the skin of the brand

Before you can represent a brand to its customers, you need to understand it.

So, as preparations for Norton Rides got underway, Gareth and two of our core guide riders headed to Monteblanco Circuit near Seville to join Norton's dealer immersion programme.

Norton had taken over the circuit for a month, initially inviting customers from around the world to experience the new Manx R and provide feedback, followed by international press and, finally, its dealer network.

Our team joined that final stage.

It gave us an invaluable opportunity to get under the skin of both the motorcycle and the new Norton brand.

There was brand immersion, product positioning and sales training, alongside sessions with the teams responsible for dealership showroom identity, clothing and accessories.

And, importantly, there was plenty of time on the Manx R itself.

Our team rode it both on track and on the road, building their product knowledge and first-hand experience which they'd later be able to bring to Norton Rides customers back in the UK.

Building Norton Rides

While the team was getting to know the motorcycle, work was already underway back home to turn the roadshow concept into a live customer experience.

Woodcote's role covered the entire operation.

We sourced the venues and worked directly with Norton's dealerships. We planned and tested routes, recruited and managed guide riders and hosts, built the online booking experience, handled customer communications, managed health and safety, coordinated the fleet and logistics, and provided ongoing reporting throughout the season.

We also sourced and furnished the mobile showroom that would become the centre of the Norton Rides experience – bringing the purposefully designed new brand identity to life.

Norton wanted customers to arrive somewhere that felt more like a premium showroom than a temporary event setup – somewhere they could spend time with the brand, explore the motorcycles and enjoy some hospitality before and after their ride.

There was just one small matter left....We had to build it.

The first Norton Rides

At the end of June, Norton Rides made its public debut at ABR Festival.

It was a significant moment for Norton – the first time customers had been publicly invited to test ride the new generation of motorcycles as part of a dedicated Norton experience.

It was a pretty memorable moment for our team too.

With elements of the new showroom arriving directly at the festival, some last-minute assembly was required before the doors could officially open.

The Woodcote team were building flat-pack furniture on site as the clock ticked down to the big reveal.

Sometimes event management is strategy, logistics and months of meticulous planning.

Sometimes it's unpacking boxes and building furniture. Thankfully, we're pretty comfortable with both.

Taking the experience on the road

After ABR Festival, Norton Rides was ready to travel the UK.

A further 17 events followed between July and September, taking the experience directly to Norton dealerships, biker venues and their customers.

The roadshow evolved alongside Norton's new motorcycle range, with the Manx R at the heart of the experience and the Atlas joining as the season developed.

That made this a particularly interesting roadshow to deliver.

Rather than taking an established fleet and format on tour, we were helping to deliver a customer experience around motorcycles that were themselves only just beginning to make their way out into the world.

For some riders, Norton Rides gave them an opportunity to get on the new motorcycles before they'd even arrived at their local dealership.

That's quite an experience – for them and for us.

More than delivering a roadshow

Now, after 18 events, the first Norton Rides season has come to an end. And this one means a lot to us.

Norton approached Woodcote having seen the roadshow experiences we'd created and delivered for other motorcycle manufacturers. They were embarking on something they hadn't done before and needed a team that could support them throughout the process – from those very first planning conversations through to delivering the final event of the season.

Being trusted with that responsibility is something we're incredibly proud of.

We've helped build the processes, customer journey and operational foundations behind Norton's first national test ride roadshow, while working alongside a team who were themselves building something new.

There have been challenges and, inevitably, a few tweaks and lessons learned along the way.

But most importantly, we've had the privilege of playing a small part in the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Norton.

And that's been highly rewarding.
