Portugal·October 11 - 17 2022
Hailed as one of the most beautiful places in Portugal, soak up its World Heritage status, as you ride glorious roads and renowned bridges.ENQUIRE
The mountainous region of Northern Portugal is made for riding. The stunning landscape is abundant with steep hills, mountainous horizons and terraced vineyards, unassumingly tucked in the Douro Valley. We’ll mainly be sticking to exploring the lush green countryside, visiting towns and villages that are steeped in culture and tradition. All meals are included, with breakfast and dinner served at the hotel. We will make lunch stops en route, at hand-picked locations, during our riding days. You will be joined by several motorcycle racing stars, who will be your guides and hosts throughout your experience. Our tour itinerary gives you the opportunity to socialise in a relaxed atmosphere with like-minded motorcycle enthusiasts and our down-to-earth racing professionals.
We will ride out to Portugal’s only National Park, Peneda-Gerês. Home to inviting clear waterfalls and lakes, and an abundance of wildlife including deer, wolves and golden eagles. The viewpoints will take your breath away and the winding roads through small granite villages, barely unchanged since the 12th century, will give you an authentic experience and taste of history and rich Portuguese culture, as we explore the area.
Our Woodcote promise is to select the finest, luxurious five-star hotels to be your residence throughout the experience. We believe that enjoying the time you spend off your bike is just as important as time spent out riding, so our tour itinerary allows for plenty of time to indulge in the local surroundings, views, hotel facilities, and cuisine. All clients will have a double room as standard, so your residence for the entire experience will be comfortable and spacious.
For one evening during your experience our professional hosts, from the world of motorcycle racing, will give you an insight into their life and adventures on track, with our “Tales from the Track” talk and Q&A. This will be an intimate opportunity to delve into the lives of your favourite motorsport riders. Expect an evening of fascinating, informative circuit stories, funny anecdotes, and a behind-the-scenes insight into what goes on in the paddock.
